The future of e-mobility is bright and is increasingly moving beyond light duty cars and into the realm of heavier duty vehicles. What does this mean for the vehicle manufacturers and the industries that supply them? What is the impact on the electricity grid and how are utilities responding? We will discuss these topics and more with Wharton MBA alums Alan Westenskow of Proterra and Dan Bowermaster of EPRI.

Alan Westenskow (WG’05)
Director of Business Development, Proterra
Alan Westenskow is the Director of Business Development for Proterra where he identifies and develops financing options and procurement solutions for Proterra electric buses and charging infrastructure. Alan has worked at Proterra for nearly 6 years and prior to his work at Proterra he spent 16 years as a public finance municipal advisor providing financing solutions to local governments for energy, transportation and other public infrastructure projects. Alan developed Proterra’s battery leasing program and helps lead Proterra Energy’s commercial business where he helps customers with their charging, infrastructure and energy needs. Alan received his MBA from Wharton in 2005.
Dan Bowermaster (WG’08, Lauder’08)
Senior Program Manager of Electric Transportation, Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI)
Dan Bowermaster is the Senior Program Manager of Electric Transportation at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), a non-profit applied research institute that does research on the entire electric grid. His team develops, tests, and deploys EV and EV charging technologies, collects and analyzes EV driving and charging data, develops environmental and economic models, and provides a variety of strategic market insights for executives and subject matter experts. Dan has worked on electric transportation for nearly 10 years, including three years at PG&E. Dan graduated from Wharton/Lauder in May 2008 and lives in San Francisco with his wife and three kids.
Warren Wang (W'00, ENG’00)
Associate Director, Guidehouse Inc.
Warren Wang is an Associate Director in the Energy, Sustainability, and Infrastructure practice of Guidehouse (formerly Navigant Consulting) based in Los Angeles, CA. His areas of expertise and interest include research, development and demonstration (RD&D) management, emerging technologies integration, and strategic partnership and acquisition planning. Warren began his career with Arthur D. Little’s Technology and Innovation Management practice in Palo Alto, CA. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s dual degree Management and Technology (M&T) Program.
