Dear Penn and Wharton Alumni: We are kicking off the 2008 alumni club year and we want to invite you join us in the fun and camaraderie that we share as Michigan-based Penn and Wharton alumni. To kick-off 2008 we have an outstanding event planned – Joe Dumars, the former Detroit Piston, NBA Hall of Famer and current General Manager of the Detroit Pistons has agreed to speak to our club. Further details are below. We are a self-funded volunteer organization that exists to support and promote the University of Pennsylvania through organized local events, interviewing Penn applicants, and representing Penn and Wharton in Michigan. We promote all of our events via email. It is the fastest and most economical way to get the word out to the over 2,000 alumni in Michigan. Please visit the club website at http://www.pennclubmi.org for details on events, membership, contacts, etc. EVENTS Over the past twelve months we have had several fun and interesting events with several more already planned for this year. Following is the event schedule for this year:
Although
there is no cost to be notified of events we do invite you to become a member of
the Club. At all paid events we will offer discounts for dues-paying members,
and we need your support to help perpetuate the Club and its activities. If you prefer, we are again offering the option to renew by web, using your credit card. Like many of the other Penn & Wharton Clubs, we have an account with Acteva, and you can click to go to the following website where you can quickly and easily renew on line: http://www.acteva.com/booking.cfm?bevaid=149668. The officers and directors
of the Penn and Wharton Club of Michigan have invested a great deal of time and
effort this year to insure that we all have an lasting organization that fully
serves the needs and interests of alumni in Detroit and throughout Michigan. We
invite your participation in any manner you see fit. Please contact us through
the web site,
or contact me at shauncher@longpointcapital.com.
Sincerely, Scott J. Hauncher President |
